Description
Old St Louis Courthouse by Lynn Sprowl
This seems rather small and is surrounded by such larger buildings. We saw it from the top of the Arch, or we may have missed it. It is very grand and as you can see, the Park Service takes great care with it... You know, these people, the park service, needs to be honored. Without their conscious effort, many of our treasures would fall to disarray.
The Old St. Louis County Courthouse was built as a combination federal and state courthouse in St. Louis, Missouri. Missouri's tallest habitable building from 1864 to 1894, it is now part of Gateway Arch National Park and operated by the National Park Service for historical exhibits and events.

Spectacular capture, Lynn! I love the mow lines in the lawn leading directly to the pillars of the courthouse. F
