My grandmother had one, similar to this one, in her basement. Mom had a newer one, so I found looking at this one very interesting. As a kid, I tested the wringer with my fingertips. hahaha
About Lynn Sprowl
For me, photography is about what I "feel" when I see an image. I want my photo to capture…a mood, an emotion, a story. I have a wide range of subjects that I like to photograph but tend to look at the ordinary. Like most photographers, I love nature and the splendid array of opportunities and subjects provided. I find the “abandoned” is a constant source of intrigue and make for interesting photography. I find beauty and mystery in the ordinary. Shooting in RAW format is a key element in my post-processing. The additional steps allow me to edit exposure, contrast, color and brightness without any reduction of quality. I often continue the editing process, as needed, to produce the final image I want to share. I honestly love...

Lynn Sprowl replied:
Thank you very much, Marcia!
Kevin Anderson
This one also caught my eye at Deanna Rose Farmstead
Lynn Sprowl replied:
Kevin, did you photograph it? Isn't that a fun place? I was just recently reminded of who and why it was named after Deanna Rose. She was a fallen Overland Park police officer.
Ella Kaye Dickey
fabulous find and capture; reminds me of my grandmothers; great antique composition
Lynn Sprowl replied:
Thank you Ella. It reminded me of my grandmothers too.

What a fun photo, Lynn. I love it! I watched my grandmother use one of these many times. (I watched, didn't help....) She also made her own soap in a huge iron kettle and would break off chunks of the finished soap to use in the washing machine. Thanks for the memories. Liked and tweeted.
Lynn Sprowl replied:
Thank you Catherine! It certainly brought back memories.
