Eldorado School 1880. Life in a one-room was quite different than what students today experience. The teacher taught all grades. The children were almost always well-behaved...notice the dunce hat in the corner. The first Eldorado School was a log building dating from 1856. I wonder what would happen if a child was forced to wear a dunce hat in current days. Actually that probably won't happen, as the use of a dunce hat was banned in most Western schools Sept. 10, 2015.
