Richland Christian Church is a historic Disciples of Christ church located at Kingdom City, Callaway County, Missouri. It was built in 1873, and is a one-story, rectangular, three bay, frame building with Italianate style design elements. It has a front gable roof and rests on eight stone piers. Also on the property is a contributing outhouse.[2]:5
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.[1]
Richland Church was established in 1816. The first structure was built of logs and was located near the center of the present cemetery. Rev.Billy Burton was the pastor and he requested that he be buried at the foot of the church door. His grace stone is located within the cemetery. In 1833 1 1/2 acres of ground was deeded for the church and cemetery, and another log house was built near the church's present location. In 1857 a frame building was constructed by slaves, upgrading the log house, and finally in 1925 the building used for worship today was constructed, and dedicated in July of 1926
