Description
Driving north from Estes Park and down Devils Gulch Road, we went to Glen Haven, Co. It's an extremely small community mostly known for its cinnamon rolls. This old truck was parked next to the teepee and just looked like a scene from yesterday. Little did I know that two weeks later, this scene and the town of Glen Haven would be destroyed by the flood of 2013. It's gone!

Steven, You are so right! Our photos capture a moment in time. Some tell a story, some capture emotion, some simply beauty...all important!!! Thank you for your kind comment.

Lynn, I'm so glad you were able to capture this iconic scene before it disappeared forever in the flood of 2013. This is a great photograph. It shows how important photographs are to remind of us of what has gone before us.
Lynn Sprowl replied:
Catherine, I was so glad to capture this photo too. I went back there this year and found the former owner and gave him a copy of this photo. He was delighted. The flood was such a tragedy for this small town. Thank you so much for reading the description of this photo. And yes, photographs can remind of us of what has gone before. Thank you!
